All Natural Coconut Oil Deodorant with Essential Oils
Avoid toxic chemical additives by making and using all natural coconut oil deodorant with essential oils.
1/8 cup baking soda
1/4 cup cornstarch
6 Tablespoons melted coconut oil (sit container in hot water to melt, never microwave)
10 Drops Purify Essential Oil (ask me about which brand of pure essential oils that I use! Adjust the number of drops to reach the desired scent)

Mix all ingredients in the jar you plan to use. Continue stirring until all ingredients are blended well and creamy. Cover jar with lid. I use a tiny spatula to dip out the portion to be used so that the mixture remains pure.
This recipe should last you several months 🙂

Diffusing is one of my favorite ways to use my essential oils. I am extremely allergic to synthetic perfumes, so for years I avoided anything that had scent. Then my sister introduced me to these wonderful essential oils. I was blown away that I could be around something that smelled good and not start tearing up, start getting that annoying scratch in my throat, or feel like it was hard to breath… these oils are 100% tested and pure, no ill affects for me, so I was hooked immediately.
So, what makes diffusing so great? Our sense of smell has many impacts on our body, including stimulating hormones, and other metabolic processes. While some essential oils can be stimulating, others can be very calming and soothing. All 3 of the oils used in the Goodnight diffuser blend have calming properties.
- Lavender is widely used for its calming and relaxing qualities. Inhaling Lavender promotes relaxation and a restful night’s sleep, which of course makes it ideal to diffuse at bedtime and when stress levels are high. Lavender is one of the oils that I make sure to keep on hand.
- Roman Chamomile has a therapeutic, calming effect on the skin, mind and body. It soothes body systems and promotes a healthy inflammatory response. You can add 1-2 drops to hot drinks to help soothe your body and mind. Along with diffusing at bedtime you can also apply to bottoms of feet for a restful night’s sleep.
- Vetiver has a calming, grounding effect on emotions and it helps promote focus and mental clarity. You can add to a warm bath to help promote deep relaxation. And can be diffused and/or applied to feet to promote a restful night’s sleep.
This is one of my favorite blends to diffuse at nighttime. Not only does it help me and my two little ones to sleep better, but it smells amazing!
